About Me
I have been working as a counsellor since 2006. This followed a career in HR for a large organisation in the public sector. I have also worked in schools supporting children with special educational needs and helping to run a successful building company.
I live just outside Exeter and I can often be found walking with my dogs in the countryside or along the local beaches. Dartmoor is another favourite haunt where I enjoy meeting up with family and friends.

My Philosophy
Counselling offers a supportive and confidential space to explore ideas, thoughts and feelings. It is a gentle process that enables change and encourages personal growth.
The unconditional, non-judgemental environment of the theraputic relationship provides a safe place to challenge negative beliefs about self or the world. It assists the client to process experiences and to take steps to reach full potential.

Qualifications & Experience
I have an advanced diploma in integrative counselling, am a member of the Bristish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to BACP code of ethics. I am insured, have ongoing supervision and complete regular sessions of continuous personal development.
Since qualifying as a counsellor in 2006 I have worked for a large counselling agency that strives to make counselling accessible for everyone. As a result I have a wealth of experience working with clients from many different backgrounds who have bought with them their own unique situations for us to explore together.
